Postdoctoral Fellow
Novozymes is seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the biomass enzyme discovery and development team.  The fellow will perform experiments to identify effective enzymes for industrial application in biorefineries.  The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to innovations in screening technology, discovery and cloning of novel genes, working within a multidisciplinary team.  Designing and constructing expression systems will be the primary responsibility.  This is a two year position.

Qualifications
The candidate should have a PhD in a molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or related field and a solid publication record.  Knowledge of molecular biology or biochemistry techniques is required, and preferably experience in prokaryotic recombinant expression.  The candidate should have excellent knowledge of state of the art microbial gene expression technology.  Previous work in the area of industrial biorefining system is preferred. The preferred candidate would have considerable experience in bioinformatics.

In addition to high technical skills in molecular biology or biochemistry, this position requires exceptional data reporting, multitasking skills, and the ability to function effectively within a dynamic team. We seek applicants who enjoy working in a team environment, and able to work under deadlines.  Strong verbal and written skills and the ability to work as an effective team player are essential.
