Responsible for the management of managed care plans, developing relationships with key customers. By working closely with the national and regional account groups, ensures that all area and regional sales personnel have a comprehensive understanding of local managed care business by; developing regional pull-through programs, assisting in the managed care training of sales and sales management, notifyingsales management of initiatives, trends or changes in the managed care environment that could potentially impact their business, and assisting in the targeting of key customers/physicians to maximize field efforts.

  • Carries out executive responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policy, procedures and state, federal and local laws.

  • Identifies, analyzes, implements, contract and monitors area pull through programs.

  • Ensures that the sales force has a comprehensive understanding of their managed care.

  • Leads managed care training initiatives (overcoming managed care objections).

  • Assists management in targeting opportunities.

  • Partners with sales management through consistent communication, contact with the field sales representatives, and regular meetings with area and regional management.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree preferred; five (5) years of successful sales experience required and managed care sales experience preferred.
