Manufacturing Associate

MacroGenics, Inc., a growing biotechnology company, has an opening for a Manufacturing Associate in its Rockville facility.  Responsibilities include: performing routine manufacturing operations in accordance with GMPs for the production of clinical products, including column packing, column chromatography, and UF/DF and buffer preparation; operating and maintaining production equipment according to SOPs; purchasing of raw materials/production items to manage inventory; authoring and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs); reviewing Batch Records for accuracy and completeness.  May assist with the execution of validation protocols.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in the life sciences or equivalent discipline; 1 – 5 years of GMP manufacturing or process development experience; working knowledge of GMP’s is strongly preferred, experience with laboratory analytical procedures is beneficial; ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment; dedicated to team work but also the ability to work independently, when required; strong written and verbal communication skills; effective organizational skills and taking initiative; analytical and lab skills are a plus; aseptic technique in fill operations; ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions; and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
