Founded in 1979, Technical Resources International, Inc. (TRI) is a full service contract research organization (CRO) providing product development support services to the global drug, biologic, and medical device community through the effective combination of scientific, clinical information technology, and communications services. TRI, Inc. is currently seeking a Manager, Training.



Overview:

Manages the design, development and delivery process of TRI’s high quality blended learning solutions.



Responsibilities

•Assess and evaluate training needs

•Establish and measure relevant quality and performance metrics

•Initiate “best practice procedures to ensure consistent high-quality training deliverables

•Identify risks to project cost/quality/schedule and client satisfaction and mitigate or escalate as appropriate

•Communicate project status to internal/external stakeholders including senior management

•Provide guidance and specialized knowledge to other members of the Training team

•Develop alliances and working relationships with subject matter experts

•Work cross-functionally with technical departments to build client solutions

•Identify emerging learning technology and trends

•Communicate capabilities and identify new business opportunities

Requirements

Education and Professional Experience:

•Comprehensive understanding of Clinical Research, as well as an appreciation for trends and issues affecting the industry

•Knowledge of the science of training, adult learning principles, and blended learning methods as applied to training

•5-10 years of experience developing custom training solutions for Clinical Research/Biotech community customers

•5+ years of Project Management experience; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets

•5+ years of experience in a management role

• Masters of Public Health preferred; M.A. in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Design, Life Science;



Soft Skills:

•Explain and apply current training methodologies and best practices

•Manage and cultivate cross-functional teams (note:  this will tie into the communications component once developed)

•Exhibit strong problem-solving and business acumen skills

•Demonstrate advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication skills

•Adapt quickly and easily to changing requirements

•Manage multiple priorities and project deadlines

•Track and manage time within numerous project hours and budgets

•Formally present ideas and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders

•Ensure content accuracy and appropriateness

•Work independently as well as collaboratively

•Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

•Thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven organization
