Description

Seattle Genetics is a biotechnology company advancing a broad pipeline of antibody-based therapies. In August 2011, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted accelerated approval of Seattle Genetics' first commercial product, ADCETRIS™ (brentuximab vedotin). We are now actively recruiting for an individual to manage activities related to Medical Information. This individual will report to the Associate Director of Medical Information and will play a highly visible role in our Company, with the opportunity to work cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:
•   Manage the call center activities to ensure timely and accurate responses are provided to our customers
•   Evaluate call center activities and provide metrics to management
•   Provide coaching and mentorship to the Medical Information Specialists
•   Provide clinical input into the development of product dossiers  
•   Facilitate intake and triage of product complaints/adverse events as they relate to Seattle Genetics products
•   Partner and collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners
•   Provide verbal and written clinical and technical responses to inquiries from the health care community, patients and internal customers as it relates to Seattle Genetics products
•   Stay abreast of emerging scientific literature and clinical trial data, translate the data in applicable knowledge and develop scientific materials for key internal and external audiences
•   Review promotional and scientific materials for clinical and scientific accuracy
•   Provide training support, as needed, to the Medical Science Liaison team, the Sales Team, and the other internal customers

•   Perform other relevant tasks as requested by management

Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
•   A minimum of 5 years biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience, in a Medical Information position, preferably in the hematology/oncology setting
•   A clinical degree (PharmD, RPh, PhD, MSN. or MD) required - Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
•   At least 1 year experience managing or leading other staff members
•   Experience in running reports in IRMS
•   Experience with medical writing
•   Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
•   Experience working in a global team setting preferred
•   Up to 5% national travel required
