Description

Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence and working under limited supervision, the Manager, Operational Excellence assist in providing technical leadership, mentoring, and project support as required to help drive MedImmune's Lean Operational Excellence initiatives through facilitating improvement teams and coaching business owners in the appropriate application of operational excellence tools and methods. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating project selection/stewardship and training activities.

Requirements

Position:
Minimum of 4 years or more work experience in operational excellence, consulting, strategy, process improvement, or business analysis required; must have worked as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert for a minimum of 2 years with formal training and experiencing applying Lean Six Sigma and /lean methods in DMAIC Six Sigma Black Belt level or PDCA lean projects. Healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience preferred but not necessary. Candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of the principles and philosophies of analytical problem solving techniques along with a demonstrated track record of achievement. Ability to develop and lead changes and improvements in a large-scale operation. Solid Business Acumen. Strong Project Management Skills

Education:
Bachelor's degree and Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Lean Gold Certification required. Strong level of DMAIC and/or Lean tools and methodology knowledge required. Advance user of Minitab or similar, Visio desired. MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
