Job description:
Handles a wide variety of business activities and confidential matters with discretion for a biotech startup company. Makes administrative decisions and demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Conducts herself/himself with the highest degree of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
Handles a broad range of business tasks for a semi-virtual office environment including:
* Coordinating and maintaining corporate files such as CDAs, contracts, consulting agreements and patent related matters.
* Creating strategic presentations via PowerPoint.
* Interface and coordinate business activities with various stakeholders including technical consultants.
* Proficient skills in reading and proofing financial spreadsheets.
* Assisting with various accounting related tasks including processing expense reports and vendor invoices.
* Handling all operational activities for the office.
* Researches, prioritizes and follows up on incoming issues and concerns, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action and follow through to ensure positive results.
* Prioritizes conflicting needs, handles matters expeditiously and proactively.
* Handles special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* BA/BS degree preferred
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a biotech (preferred) or pharmaceutical company environment
* Skilled user in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Strong organizational skills reflecting the ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
* Financial knowledge including reading financial statements is a plus
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision making capability.  Seek guidance when needed.
* Must possess a thoroughly professional and positive demeanor
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
