We are looking for a clinical pharmacologist with a PhD, Pharm.D (with fellowship) or a MD degree with at least 0- 5 yrs. of academic/industry experience. The candidate will be working in a team of scientists reporting to a group lead in San Francisco supporting full development of oncology projects. The candidate will be a part of the Pfizer Oncology Clin Pharm team with approximately 35 scientists located in San Diego and San Francisco, CA. We emphasize on the candidate's quantitative pharmacology skills, scientific reasoning, regulatory affairs skills, written and verbal communication skills, exploratory graphical analysis skills, study design and report writing skills.The candidate will be working primarily with Clin Pharm Lead to support full development of oncology programs including designs of the clinical pharmacology or clinical studies, establishing PK/PD plans, performing PK/PD analysis, reporting results, writing Clin Pharm sections of the CSR, supporting the development of submission documents (briefing book, NDA, MAA, etc). The candidate will be responsible for designing/planning Clinical Pharmacology studies in collaboration with other team members.


Pharm.D (with fellowship), Ph.D or MD degree is required for the position. The candidate should have a solid training in Clinical Pharmacology. The candidate should also have a strong drug metabolism and PK/PD background including data analysis and interpretation.

Experience with using NONMEM and R for population PK and exposure-response analyses; in-depth knowledge of statistics and hands-on experience with SAS is desirable.

Experience in drug development in oncology and pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.


Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, etc.)

Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
