Job Description

This position will undertake activities to provide specialized support and assistance to Clinical Operations, Legal/Contracts, Finance Departments, as required, in the administration and negotiation of clinical site study budgets. This will involve building partnerships with the Clinical department's leadership, Procurement, Legal/Contracts, FP&A, and other departments as appropriate to ensure that outsourcing and contracting needs are met and handled in an optimal and efficient manner that is consistent with company policy, as well as legal, government, and regulatory requirements where relevant.  

Key Accountability/Core Job Responsibilities:

Must possess strong data analysis skills and will be responsible for industry assessments, financial analysis, site contract/budget negotiations, and contribute to cost modeling.
Work closely with the Clinical Operations and Finance team to support the clinical site budget and contracting needs.
Manage clinical site relationships in conjunction with Clinical Operations
Coordinate communication from and acts as a liaison between internal/external stakeholders on the site budgets
Develop patient budget template for new studies and study amendments
Develop and maintain a system for tracking progress and status of clinical site budget/contracts
Provides cost benchmarking for clinical outsourcing activities using industry based tools or customized analysis.
Assist with the design and maintenance of Outsourcing SOPs/Procedures, Outsourcing tools (budget templates, budget review tools, etc).
Approve clinical patient budget and negotiating parameters for CROs.
Support Clinical Outsourcing with data collection and analysis.
Assist with the tracking of negotiated savings achieved.

Requirements

4 Year college degree with BS/BA or equivalent experience.
5-8 years experience w/contracts administration.
Ability to take initiative, be flexible, exercise good judgment, interface with all levels of management, multi-task and have an excellent attention to detail to ensure the most efficient and cost effective contract solutions are achieved.
Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with other cross functional groups.
Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication and administrative skills as well as an ability to interpret and comprehend contract documentation. Proficiency in GrantPlan, MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook a must.
Previous experience in working with clinical operations and finance is a plus
Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
