As a Manager, Brand Communications, in Gaithersburg, MD, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

 

   The Manager, Brand Communications, role will develop Oncology therapeutic-area external and internal communications, supporting brands in one or more of our US Oncology franchises, including: traditional media, social media, video, customer communications, sales communications, and internal communications. This ideal candidate possesses a good understanding of communications planning and external stakeholder engagement strategies and tactics that achieve measurable outcomes; strong communication skills; the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders, including leaders; and experience executing against communications strategies that deliver results for the business.  

 
       
  •      Develop, manage and implement integrated communications plans and tactics to support the goals of one or more of the US Oncology franchise portfolios    
  •    
  •      Coordinate and execute the development of compelling internal and external messages and impactful communications tactics to drive awareness around brand milestones, product characteristics, clinical data, franchise priorities, and patient programs and materials    
  •    
  •      Work closely with US Corporate Affairs Oncology colleagues to ensure communication strategies, plans and deliverables are well-coordinated across the team and our US Oncology marketing and sales teams    
  •    
  •      Work with Promotional Regulatory Affairs to ensure communications strategies and deliverables comply with regulatory requirements and guidance    
  •    
  •      Serve as day-to-day contact for agency partners to ensure delivery of projects and programs within budget and on schedule    
  •    
  •      Partner with US Corporate Affairs and global communication colleagues (media relations, brand communications, policy and advocacy) to ensure alignment and engagement on US and Global Corporate Affairs activities

Requirements

   Essential Requirements  

 
       
  •      BS in Marketing, Communications or related field    
  •    
  •      Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience demonstrating increasing levels of experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, corporate or brand communications, and issues management    
  •    
  •      Effective written and verbal communications skills    
  •    
  •      Strong interpersonal skills    
  •    
  •      Ability to navigate complex and matrixed organizations    
  •    
  •      Amenable to after-hours work and weekend responsibilities    
  •  
   Desirable Requirements    
       
  •      Healthcare communications, brand communications and/or PR agency experience    
  •
