Description

Responsible for the quality and preparation of Dailies polymer formulations, compliance with quality systems, and production process equipment. Provides technical expertise for Formulations group to meet business objectives (safety, quality, productivity, and team goals/targets). Guides processes to ensure all production requirements are met. Help provide priorities and work direction to Technicians as needed. Insure a consistent supply of formulations to Dailies manufacturing to prevent interruption in production. Aids with processes as needed. Identifies needed improvements and timely executes resolutions. Investigates non conformances and corrective action request to identify root causes. Develop action plans to remediate these root causes. Writes SOP’s and batch records to ensure compliance with Novartis quality standards. Manage all raw material inventories to ensure uninterrupted supplies. Work with global teams to help secure supply chains and qualify new vendors. Work closely with suppliers and Purchasing to provide most efficient and consistent inventory and supply line for Dailies Formulations. Interface with other Dailies sites. Ensure compliance of SOP’s, OSHA, ISO, GMP, GDPs and FDA regulations. Work closely with support groups to ensure timely returns on analytical testing, raw material release and disposition of quality documentation. Provides assistance to all related support functions as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Required Education:
BS Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Preferred Level:
MS in organic chemistry/polymers or Chemical Engineering

Minimum Required Experience:
5 yrs experience in GMP regulated manufacturing environment
Preferred Level:
8 years in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment, particularly with pharmaceutical/medical device experience
