Description


The Lead Analyst for Business Intelligence will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a robust Business Intelligence program in support of various business units at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated. This individual will be working with senior leadership within GIS, Client Account Management and various businesses leads across the organization and will be a important driver in expanding OBIEE+ throughout the organization.
 
The candidate must be able to translate business requirement into tangible solutions utilizing the appropriate technological platform and tools that best enables the business. The candidate will be responsible for the documentation of complex business processes into logical process flows, technical designs, code development, test cases and ultimately supportable business intelligence deliverables. In addition this person will be a trusted source to the user community and assist in building a knowledge base within the community

- A minimum of 6 years' experience with a focus on enterprise class applications supporting reporting and analysis services
- 3 years' experience with OBIEE+ 10G and 11G (RPD, Dashboards, Analysis), Noetix, Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management, Oracle EBS Release 12, TOAD, PLSQL, Packages, and Informatica is highly desirable.
 
Preferred Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Strong interpersonal skills along with a proven ability to succeed within a matrix team environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify key issues and
value drivers, and translate strategic insights into an appropriate
analytic framework.
- Significant experience conducting complex analytic assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and drive processes to completion
- Ability to think strategically and develop new techniques or approaches as dictated by the business
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an established ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience
- Enthusiasm, confidence, ability to work on multiple tasks, problem
solving ability, creativity and ability to prioritize effectively to
meet personal, team and company goals.
