Job Description

The Department of Pathology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) seeks an academic anatomic pathologist at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level, depending on qualifications, to join a busy university-based practice starting in Summer or Fall of 2014. OHSU serves as a major regional referral center. The caseload is varied and challenging, and the service is supported by excellent immunohistochemistry and molecular genetic laboratories. The position includes surgical pathology and cytopathology.

Qualified applicants will be Board-certified in Anatomic Pathology. Previous completion of a specialty fellowship is desirable but not required. The candidate should have strong diagnostic and communication skills, and a sincere interest in teaching pathology residents and fellows.

Located on a hillside overlooking vibrant downtown Portland, OHSU is Oregon's only medical school and research university. The campus includes Schools of Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health and Medicine, as well as OHSU Hospital and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The campus is less than 90 minutes from the Oregon coast and Cascade mountains; opportunities for outdoor recreation abound in all seasons.
