The HR Solutions team sits within HR Services and has functional accountability for the design, delivery and performance of multiple Human Resources solutions across HR that primarily relate to the delivery of HR Services.

This role has a Global remit and will also be responsible for taking an overarching view across all HR solutions that support HR delivery, working with the relevant HR GPOs to do so. It will be the primary business interface to the relevant HR leads to understand the business needs and capture business requirements that identify how these needs can be best addressed through applicable systems change.

Ensures that any Human Resources system investments - and the business processes and information needs they support – are developed and delivered in a consistent, joined-up and efficient way. Will work with the Project Manager to ensure that any HR Services technology projects are delivered successfully. Ongoing management and monitoring of the performance levels for HR Solutions will be required.

The role will report to the HR Solutions & Delivery Excellence Lead

This role will closely partner with HR IT Business Relationship Manager (HR IT BRM) for HR Services to agree demand, and then with the HR Services Project Manager to monitor implementation and support to ensure a successful outcome of projects and to ensure ongoing support and performance levels are met. Responsible for ensuring that new and existing technology solutions (delivered by HR IT) and strategy are in line with the Global HR strategy and Operating Model.

Responsible to ensure solutions meet customer needs whilst also being cutting edge to align with future HR strategy and be cost effective with a global reach.

The role will be located onshore in one of the major hub locations. Cambridge/Gothenburg/Gaithersburg

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Ensures the overall HR strategy and individual HR team strategies are understood, to ensure HR Solutions are used effectively across the globe. Where gaps are identified, will lead and influence relevant teams to support the recommendation of new HR Solutions
  • Works with the HR Solutions and Delivery Excellence Lead to determine the relative prioritisation of these needs and agrees this prioritised view with HR
  • Works with the HR Solutions Project Manager in the management and delivery of HR Solutions business projects partnering with HR IT BRM for delivery as appropriate
  • Has the overall Core and Enabling HR Solutions functional product ownership, (including but not limited to ServiceNow, Workday, RPA, My HR), including accountability for process integration across solutions and between Workday modules and downstream systems
  • Partners with HR IT teams to review the service model and alignment of resources in support of effective HR Solution delivery
  • Accountable for developing strategy and roadmaps for deployment of Global HR Solutions in collaboration with HR IT BRM and the HR Solutions Project Manager
  • Provides leadership to HR Solutions SMEs to deliver the agreed roadmap
  • Provides leadership, management, governance and consistent ways of working across all supporting HR solutions, ensuring they are fit for future technology
  • Financially plans and manages budgets for all areas of responsibility required for delivery of global HR Solutions
  • Provides external and cross-functional insights to bring innovation and improvement to HR Solutions
  • Ensures and tracks HR IT delivery of critical systems availability within agreed SLAs
  • Attends key internal and external stakeholder meetings; communicating and sharing appropriate information and outcomes
  • Ensures appropriate functional testing, training and communication is in place for all HR Solutions
  • Chairs GPO network

Requirements

Essential Requirements for the role:

  • Educated to Graduate level
  • Awareness of current developments in the HR Technology marketplace
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers and have strong network and consulting skills
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Advanced level of proficiency in planning, change management and problem solving and able to resolve issues of a highly complex and strategic nature
  • Experience of driving and leading innovative solutions
  • Good understanding of all HR Solutions
  • Drives right behaviours across all key interfaces.

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing global teams
