The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at Southern Illinois University seeks an additional board certified/board eligible Hematologist/Oncologist.
Currently, the division is led by Aziz Khan, M.D. and consists of three additional Hematologists/Oncologists and two nurse practitioners. In this position you will be involved with patient care and the teaching of medical students and residents. A faculty appointment is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level based upon experience and track record. Opportunities for basic and clinical research are available based upon individual interests.
Springfield is also the home of the Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU. The Hematology/Oncology service participates in (or leads) multidisciplinary cancer care teams, and has access to both a clinical trials office and a core research facility with state of the art imaging.
