Description

JOB SUMMARY
Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems. May prepare help desk incident reports and assist in hardware and software evaluation. May be internal and external client-focused for company-hosted web-enabled solutions.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Proactively address issues with desktop applications; primarily Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Professional, and other applications in use at Depomed (Concur, ADP, Okta).
•Assist in the analysis of trends in help desk tickets to drive changes to relevant processes, applications, or hardware.
•Work closely with our remote-based sales team, resolving hardware, OS and networking issues.
•Contribute to the design, development and delivery of end-user training materials.
•Work with other IT team members in building, testing, or deploying desktop, cloud, and server-based solutions.
•Assist with systems operations (enterprise backup system, base image development and deployment) as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•College degree in Computer Science or technical software certification (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) or equivalent work experience
•Minimum of 4 years prior experience supporting end users
•Knowledge of and experience with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 operating systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office 2013
•Experience working in heavily regulated environments (i.e., GXP, Dept of Defense, or SOX) and complying with change control systems
•Experience with maintaining an Active Directory environment (adding, changing user accounts, managing folder permissions, etc.)
•Experience with Microsoft image development and maintenance toolkits
