Description

The largest CRO company in China is looking for an HTS Department Head and senior director of biology with relevant working experience and demonstrated accomplishment in hit discovery. This position reports to VP of Biology.

-You will lead all aspects of HTS including but not limit to compound management, assay development, automation, and data processing.  You need to be capable of supporting multiple therapeutic research teams including oncology, infectious diseases, CNS, immunology and CMD.
-You will manage compound library collection; manage screening hardware and software.
-You will guide assay development efforts for new and existing programs.
-You need to plan, supervise, multitask and direct projects to completion.
-You should ensure timelines are met, communicate program objectives to cross-functional teams.
-You need to commit for a high quality of work and a high level of productivity, implement quality systems and quality assurance within HTS efforts.
-You should provide leadership and technical expertise, direct research scientists to ensure program efficiency and maintain high team visibility
-You will recruit and train scientists and associates in automation, assay development, data management and analysis, client communications.

Requirements

-PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, biophysics or related field.
-Over 10 years pharmaceutical/biotech HTS experience.
-Proficient in biochemistry, enzymology, assay development, lab automation and HTS.
-Demonstrated experience in managing projects, with an innate sense of urgency, appreciation of priorities and critical factors.
-Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills and ability to establish/maintain working relationship with colleagues and clients.
