Date Posted  Apr 3, 2013 The Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine has an immediate opening for an Grants Coordinator. This Associate will be the primary coordinator of pre-award activities, including grant proposal tracking, reporting and submission. The associate is directly responsible for maintaining grant related and financial records, including electronic, hard copy and confidential documentation. She/he will prepare and distribute financial reports on a regular basis and will initiate labor distribution updates/adjustments and other transactions such as allocation journals, p-card verification and reimbursements to insure compliance with sponsors, departmental guidelines, University guidelines and government regulations.QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

* Two-year college degree in a relevant field or a two year degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of related experience in a financial setting
* Exceptional organizational skills
* Must be highly adaptable and flexible, and be able to independently manage multiple projects in his/her own workload while managing critical deadlines
* Excellent computer skills (MS Office)Desired:
* Knowledge of Federal and non-Federal grants administration
* Experience with contracts, research and sponsored projects
* Knowledge of university restricted fund accounting protocols
* Experience with reporting systems; experience with Stanford financial systems (Oracle Financials, SERA) a plus
* Advanced computer skills with MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat
