Job Description


To ensure the integrity of financial information and to actively pursue the achievement of financial objectives. Promote internal process improvement and provide high quality business and financial support to the Business Unit. Actively safeguard the assets of the U.S. organization.


Provide support to the Associate Director of Government Pricing in completing Government Price calculations, reporting and analysis. Key activities include routine (ASP, AMP, NFAMP, BP) calculations and analysis as well as ad-hoc data requests, maintenance of historical data stores, participate/coordinate systems testing, participate in current state and future state process mapping and maintenance of compliance documents (e.g., policies and SOPs).


Creates financial models of what if scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.


Ensures all filings with various federal and state government agencies are prepared accurately in accordance with both external requirements and internal policies.  Provide meaningful analysis and strategic guidance to the organization on issues relative to government pricing to allow informed business decisions to be made.  Promote effective communication between the relevant parts of the organization impacted by government price requirements.  Exposure and education to ensure understanding and assisting in the interpretation of recent developments around government price reporting, and work with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Managed Markets to establish policies in line with those developments.  Provides innovative solutions in specialized areas by applying extensive technical expertise including full knowledge of related disciplines and providing technical leadership internationally.


Support the CFO and advise the managers on complex issues resulting from Government Pricing results.



INTERNALLY: Associate Director, Government Pricing, Director of Contracting and Operations, G/L Accounting Manager, A/R Manager.

EXTERNALLY: Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, The Veterans Administration

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance and time spent; indicate % of time spent on each duty)


  • Calculation, analysis and timely submission of the various Federally mandated price calculations including Average Manufacture Price, Best Price, Average Sales Price, Non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price, the Federal Ceiling Price and Public Health Service prices. (60%)

  • Maintain forecasting models and conduct ad hoc pricing analysis. (15%)

  • Maintain and contributes to the establishment, updating and implementation of Policies and Procedures (15%)Conduct testing on Government Pricing System and SAP Applications as needed. (5%)

  • Provide Finance and Compliance support as needed. (5%)





  • University or college degree required

  • BS Degree in Accounting / Finance

  • MBA or exposure to multiple areas of Finance and Accounting is desirable

  • Chartered Financial Analyst and / or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a distinct plus.




  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting/finance with direct experience applying auditing and accounting principles.

  • A minimum of one-year experience with Government Pricing for Pharmaceuticals is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Managed Care Industry, the Medicaid Drug Rebate program, and the Federal Supply Schedule program is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and a working knowledge of other MS Office applications ·

  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Experience with a government pricing system, (Model N), is preferred

  • Auditing experience is preferred




  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently
