Description

Integrity Bio, Inc. (IBI) is a contract development and manufacturing organization, specializing in biologics formulation development and drug product manufacturing.  To meet the growing demand on the part of our clientele regarding the outsourcing of projects and technologies, we are seeking candidates for the position of Group Leader in Research and Development (R&D).  
The candidate will be required to manage research projects, supervise staff and perform laboratory experiments. The qualified candidate should have experience in the following areas:
•Supervise research and formulation projects, develop study designs and procedures and delegates resources to various projects.
•Drafts presentations and reports, as well as assisting in drafting business and scientific documents (SOPs, etc.)
•Managing staff by providing both guidance and support to research associates and technicians in the laboratory.
•Ensures that laboratory staff is appropriately trained and are behaving in a GLP-compliant manner.
•Ability to set up and perform HPLC, as well as other assays, to characterize protein and peptide molecules.
•Familiarity with pH analysis, gel electrophoresis, UV/Vis analysis, and various wet chemistry techniques. Understanding of DSC, lyophilization, and Karl Fisher analysis is a definite plus.
•Oversees maintenance of lab equipment and instrumentation.
•Analyzes, records, and reports the results and conclusions for laboratory experiments. Summarizes and interprets data.
•Experience with Word, Excel and Power Point.
•Participates and presents at group and project meetings as required.
•Attends and presents at internal and consumer conferences as required.
The candidate should also be open to learn new laboratory techniques. The successful group leader will also have the proven ability to manage, multitask and maintain flexibility to changes in a project and with personal. Knowledge of good documentation practices and keeping laboratory notebooks up to date with operations performed in the lab

Requirements

We are seeking an individual that is pro-active, goal-orientated, and possesses strong organizational and documentation skills.  The successful candidate will display the ability to manage his or her group well and complete projects in a timely manner. The individual must ensure that good quality data is generated for the different projects. Good interpersonal and proven communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Possess a working knowledge of various analytical and laboratory techniques such as HPLC, spectrophotometry and SDS-PAGE. The ideal group leader will possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in the Life Sciences field or related and have 5-7 years of pharmaceutical / biotech laboratory experience.
