Western Michigan University School of Medicine (WMed) is seeking faculty candidates to join their Family Medicine program. This is an excellent opportunity for academic physicians who are committed to providing a quality educational experience for WMed residents and medical students. Faculty provide clinical instructions and supervision as well as coordinating, monitoring and evaluating patient care by residents and students. You will look forward to being a part of curriculum development and recruitment of residents while also providing direct ambulatory patient care and/or inpatient care. Benefit from infrequent, shared call, strong organizational support, and generous compensation and benefits. The Family Medicine program has recently increased from six to eight residents per year, expanded into a neighborhood Federally Qualified Health Center and developed an accredited Patient Centered Medical Home. In addition, WMed is in the process of opening a new medical school in Kalamazoo which will provide faculty with the unique opportunity to be actively involved in the formation of a new school. Our hospitals and outpatient clinics have long been invested in the development of the electronic medical record and this has provided exciting opportunities for clinical research and advances in patient care. WMed is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
