Job Description

Harpoon Therapeutics is early-stage biotechnology company located in South San Francisco, CA. The company is focused on the development of novel immune cell engaging therapeutics for oncology and other disease indications. We are looking for a motivated, flexible, highly productive individual who is seeking a dynamic fast-paced biotechnology startup environment. This individual will report to the President and CEO and will interact extensively with the Executive Team, Board of Directors, Clinical Advisory Board, Scientific Advisory Board, investors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.  In addition, the individual would be expected to be the primary day-to-day interface between the company and its service providers, vendors, and consultants and well as supporting employee activities and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Administrative – provide day-to-day administrative support to the CEO, CFO, and Heads of Research, VP, Translational Medicine, and other members of the Company, and will include travel support, calendar management, interview scheduling, corporate events, expense reporting and processing as well as scheduling Board of Directors and other company and employee meetings.  

•   Office Management –proactively identify the needs to manage daily office activities including equipment, space, materials, processes, communication forums, establishing and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, food services, mail and shipping/receiving.

•   Reception –  Greet visitors and answer the phones for Harpoon.


•    At least 5+ years office management/high level executive assistant experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•   Demonstrated flexibility and professional maturity to readily understand priorities and anticipate needs.
•   Experience in a start-up environment strongly preferred; biotech/ pharma experience would be a plus.
•   Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver on the most critical assignments on time and within budget.
•   Must have a positive “can do” attitude, be a consummate team player, show excellent judgment as well as work well independently.
•   Must be highly proficient in Microsoft office including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint along with experience setting up systems and databases.
•   Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including attention to detail with a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks including working with confidential information.
