Role Description

Assures that Kalamazoo's Drug Product (DP) Operations meets delivery commitments for finished goods and brightstock to support the Essential Health, Innovative Health, and Pfizer CentreOne businesses. Assures that teams achieve overall goals for product supply, customer service, cost, reduction in distressed inventory and right first time performance.



Responsibilities

* Facilitates resolution of urgent team issues (quality problems, unfilled orders, etc) by working with appropriate resources in DP operations and other local and global organizations.
* Interacts routinely with business customers to communicate status of issues and negotiate solutions.
* Prioritizes change control initiatives to use resources effectively and minimize impact on product delivery.
* Secures commitments from affected parties to follow team recommendations and directs the implementation of those recommendations.
* Develops solutions to complex problems which require the use of ingenuity, innovation, creativity, and teamwork.
* Ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives.
* Guides long term efforts toward achieving optimization of project team performance.
* Works with plant to implement process improvements and lower costs.
* May work with GMC to update product registrations as necessary and support inquiries.

Requirements

Qualifications

BA/BS in technical discipline with 7 years or MA/MS in technical discipline and 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, particularly production. Must have a successful track record of results oriented, quality driven, and performance improvement efforts. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Must demonstrate skills in quantitative analysis, team facilitation, effective communications and an emphasis on teamwork skills. Must have an in-depth understanding of GMP and regulatory standards. Demonstrated ability to actively participate in the resolution of technical challenges and technical advances. Experience with Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable. Supply chain expertise highly desirable as well. Strong leadership abilities especially change management, as well as oral and written communication skills are required. Demonstrated commitment to values-based leadership. Must have ability to work independently and in team settings. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and achieve significant and complex goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and mentor colleagues and manage diverse relationships. NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Travel < 5% Weekend or evening work may be required as supply situations dictate.
