The District Sales Manager provides inspirational leadership and strategic direction to Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists (PSSs) in order to successfully achieve performance objectives. This role requires strong leadership acumen in order to develop a high performance team through effective coaching and mentoring. This role also requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities resulting in strong collaboration across functional areas to drive win/win outcomes that align with the organization's vision.

Major Responsibilities:  
 *Drives business by observing Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists interactions with key customers, providing them with individual coaching, feedback and inspiration. Helps PSS continue to develop for success in current role and for future growth.  
 *Builds commitment for the shared vision by facilitating team communication, morale and effectiveness. As a role model, inspires trust and commitment to AstraZeneca's best interests. (Within own work unit and/or cross-functional teams)  
 *Asks for feedback in an effort to raise awareness and gain insight into one's strengths and developmental needs.  
 *Works collaboratively across functional areas by serving as a resource within one's region and by leveraging the expertise of others.  
 *Acts as a liaison between the sales force and other cross-functional areas, persuading, convincing, or motivating a targeted audience through collaboration and direct or indirect influence.  
 *Actively seeks to discover and meet the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships and delivering innovative solutions.  
 *Manages multiple priorities and resources related to individual and group efforts. Takes responsibility for redirecting efforts as needed to deliver high productivity and quality of work from self and others.
