Description

This role is a key leadership position within the newly created Pipeline Strategy and Portfolio Management group and is responsible for driving: -   Strategic planning at all levels (product, therapeutic area and portfolio) that guide decision making-   Realistic and credible assessments of pipeline assets-   Portfolio-based decisions that promote transparent choices and tradeoffs that balance value, cost and risk-   Partnering with portfolio execution, program management and Commercialization teams to continuously evolve our portfolio management capabilities-   Effectively communicating information and assumptions that underpin the program assessments-   Collaborating with multiple functional areas (Finance, Legal, Global Marketing, Global Value and Access, Operations, Information Systems as well as throughout R&D) to define portfolio management processes and capabilities -   Recruiting, leading, motivating, managing, coaching and retaining a high performing team-   Partnering with the Commercialization Reporting and Systems team to design and deliver reports that meet the internal and external stakeholder information needs at the product, therapeutic area and portfolio levelsPreferred Qualifications- MBA- 10 years experience in Life Sciences or healthcare industry- 6 years proven management experience building and developing a high performing team- 4 years portfolio management experience or comparable experience as a contributor to portfolio management (i. e.  finance, sales forecasting, etc. )- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills- Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, tools and methodologies- Knowledge of drug development processes - Proven experience leading governance committees and change management efforts- Relationship management and demonstrated influencing skills for critical projects in a large organization- Excellent written, presentation and communication skills- Proven commitment to stakeholder satisfaction and the highest ethical standards-Doctorate degree & 4 years of  directly related experienceOR-Master's degree & 8 years of  directly related years  OR-Bachelor's degree & 10 years of  directly related experienceAND-4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
