   Director, Site Operations – South San Francisco, CA  


   MedImmune is the global biologics research and development arm of AstraZeneca. We work as partners in bringing life changing medicines to patients, sharing and benefiting from each other's strengths.    
   Director, Site Operations in South San Francisco will have the responsibility for providing Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services supporting the South San Francisco site to include offices and R&D laboratories.    


   Main Duties and Responsibilities    
   As the Director, Site Operations you will have the responsibility for integrating SSF Site Operations strategic efforts with other Medimmune sites as well as AstraZeneca; and will support long term plans for SSF through participation in the Global Facilities Master Plan development process & Capital Planning activities.    
   Additional responsibilities in this role will be:  

  •      Direct the responsible investment of the Expense Budget & Capital Budget for the South San Francisco Site Operation.    
  •      Assemble the appropriate set of multidisciplinary professionals which integrates support    
  •      of people, process and technology to ensure the safe, secure and sustainable functionality    
  •      of the built environment.    
  •      Monitor, assess, repair and upgrade facilities, systems and utilities to ensure the facility    
  •      fully supports the occupants and functions housed within them. Additionally you will provide specialty support services including Safety, Health and Environment Services (SHE), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Laboratory Operations services to ensure site activities are performed in a continuous, safe,    
  •      sustainable and optimal manner.    
  •      Maintain awareness of advancing technology, innovations in energy efficiency,    
  •      sustainable design and business practices which impact employee productivity, business    
  •      efficiency, and external perceptions of the company.    
  •      Develop, recommend and implement strategic plans and programs to improve efficiency,    
  •      heighten performance and ensure the facility meets regulatory regulations, and OSHA    
  •      health and safety requirements.    


   Essential Requirements    
   •    Bachelors: Engineering or similar field    
   •    15+ years experience in GxP operations  


   Desirable Requirements    
   •    Masters Degree / MBA    
   •    Safety Health and Environmental and Good Manufacturing Practice qualifications
