Description

The Director, Pricing & Market Access will be responsible for driving and implementing Raptor’s global Market Access strategy.  The position will also play a lead role in the US launch of RP103.  This exciting opportunity includes:

United States
•Lead development of Value Proposition; create supporting arguments in collaboration with Strategic Marketing and Medical Affairs.
•Develop Market Access materials including formulary kits, budget impact models and AMCP dossier to support reimbursement decisions.
•Set direction and coordinate activities for insurance benefits adjudication process through reimbursement hub (UBC) and contract account management team.
•Develop and implement strategy for commercial and government accounts.
•Collaborate with brand and medical teams to constantly improve customer relationships.
•Coordinate third-party pricing and government reporting.
•Lead activities of the Market Access Project Manager.

Europe
•Establish, test and implement value messaging.  Ensure alignment of core value dossier with global Market Access strategy.
•Partner with European Market Access and in-country teams to obtain favorable pricing and access for Procysbi.

Global
•Provide pricing and reimbursement assumptions to global forecasts for marketed and future indications.
•Create pricing recommendations in support of senior management decision-making.
•Partner with finance and other internal organizations to ensure compliance with local regulations, e.g. government reporting in U.S. and Safe Harbor in Europe.
•Provide pro-active insights to senior management on pricing and market access trends.
•Partner with finance to determine transfer price strategy.
•Set pricing strategy for future line extensions.
The position reports to the Vice President of Health Services.

Requirements

Candidate Criteria
•The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in Managed Care or Market Access and at least two years’ experience setting pricing/market access strategy in the US.  Preference for experience with ultra-orphan products.
•Extensive understanding of the regulatory environment, global pricing and reimbursement systems and health economics.
•Proven ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
•Comfortable managing multiple projects and delivering firm results.
•A high interest in working in the environment of a small bio-pharma company, without the resources of larger companies.
•Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field or science, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
