Job Description

Position Summary:
The Cheetah Medical Director of Marketing role is responsible for the day to day marketing activities of the CHEETAH NICOM & Starling SV Hemodynamic Monitoring systems, including development and execution of the Cheetah Medical marketing strategy.  

The Director, Marketing will be the primary point of contact between the Marketing Department and the Company’s field based sales and clinical teams in support of both short-term sales initiatives and longer-term market development opportunities.  Ensuring that the sales and clinical teams have the tools and resources to be successful in the field is the primary focus of this position.  

Understanding current market dynamics, growth trends and rates, analysis of adjacent markets, competitive products and their strategies, and the health economic climate and reimbursement paradigm are also key priorities for this position.  The successful candidate will also work closely with the Research & Development team and represent the needs of the customer in support of product development initiatives as well as data collection efforts

Must be able to drive results from strategic thought to tactical execution.  


Reports to:
This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and has significant involvement with the field based sales and clinical teams, as well as Research & Development, Finance, QA/RA and the Sales Operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:
•   Work closely with the US & European commercial teams to identify customer needs, and develop tools and solutions to meet those needs
•   Work closely with a design firm to create marketing communication tools and solutions; provide content expertise and guidance on creation of sales tools
•   Work closely with the Research &Development team on product upgrades or new development projects, representing the customer needs in the design process
•   Lead Advertising and Promotion activities for Cheetah either directly or through an advertising agency
•   Content lead for digital marketing (website, mobile app, social media)
•   Complete market assessments for all projects assigned (identify and quantify market size, trends, competitive landscape and customer needs through primary and secondary research) in support of the strategic direction of the company
•   Work within cross-functional teams to formulate and execute new business strategies and to exploit markets adjacent to current businesses
•   Build competitive intelligence capabilities through the implementation of best-practice intelligence gathering and analysis
•   Interview and network with key clinicians in focus areas related to projects assigned
•   Employ industry best-practices to uncover customer needs in new and existing market spaces
•   Create and deliver marketing programs to support the growth of the CHEETAH NICOM & Starling SV business

Additional Qualifications:
•   Education – minimum B.A. Degree in business/marketing related field, MBA preferred

Work Experience:
•   8-10 years in a technical or marketing role in the healthcare sector for a medical device company
•   Experience marketing a critical care or ICU device, solution preferred
•   Experience marketing a capital equipment device preferred
•   Must have experience marketing to a hospital, complex institution which requires frequent touch points with physicians, nurses, purchasing, value analysis committees

Travel:
•   Some travel, which may include weekends, is required in this position, primarily for the purposes of meeting customers and attending conferences and conventions.
