As a Director, Health Economics & Payer Analytics in Gaithersburg, MD, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.

Director, Health Economics & Payer Analytics position available in Gaithersburg, MD to produce scientific evidence for regulatory submissions, global reimbursement dossiers and market access. Through governance, execution, and communication, design and champion the development of payer analytic tools such as providing inputs to clinical trial design and analyses, health economic models, systematic literature reviews, network meta-analysis, and their application to the pharmaceutical development process. Contribute to project planning processes as well as help predict and resolve issues that affect market access decisions. Provide input to clinical trial and program design to support payers' needs. Prepare proposal requests for outsourced health economic projects and manage the vendor selection process. Assume leadership of Health Economics related activities, deliverables, and work streams as a member of the Global Payer Team. Provide strategic and tactical planning of payer evidence generation such as economic modeling, systematic review and evidence synthesis, indirect treatment comparisons, and observational research. Support market access and reimbursement for assigned products. Generate global value documents, communication materials, and publications for economic impact of new pharmaceutical products to facilitate discussion with payers and healthcare decision makers. Collaborate with marketing companies in preparing evidence that satisfies payer requirements globally. Actively monitor and apply novel payer analytical techniques and participate in external Health Economics departmental activities via technical presentations, committee membership, publication reviews, and other similar activities. Interact with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) authorities and advisors/key opinion leaders in preparing materials for scientific advice or reimbursement submissions. Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Health Services Administration, Health Management & Policy, Health Economics, Statistics, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate Scientist, Research Associate, or a related position. Must have four (4) years of experience in the pharmaceutical/medical industry: applying health economics to pharmaceutical development at an international level; performing economic modeling, evidence synthesis, observational research and other analytical techniques required to support payer needs; leading the payer value space for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases; conducting systematic review and meta-analysis using Bayesian analysis approach in Winbugs; participating in product development processes at all lifecycle stages with respect to regulatory and payer requirements from a global perspective; researching and informing on the legal and regulatory environment influencing clinical development plans, labelling and promotional claims; advising on clinical trial designs for health economics endpoints; preparing materials for scientific advice and reimbursement submissions; designing and implementing cost-effectiveness and budget impact health economic models using Excel, Visual Basic, BaseCase, Arena, TreeAge, SIMUL8, @RISK, Access, and SQL; and contributing to scientific publications through research and writing.
