Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities   The incumbent shall:   Possess Impeccable integrity Lead business development activities of a dermatology-focused CRO  Identify and establish contact with potential clients and nurture relationships with current clients Demonstrate the ability to earn colleague and client confidence, credibility and trust Generate proposals, budgets and contracts Obtain and integrate components from clinical, finance, corporate development functions and third party vendors into proposals that respond clearly to RFPs. Demonstrate ability to convert proposals into agreements Design and make corporate presentations to potential clients Represent company at trade shows Oversee development of marketing materials, surveys and client communications Participate in defining and lead team efforts to achieve revenue goals Keep management fully apprised of all business development activities Maintain a current awareness of both the pharmaceutical and CRO industries

Requirements

Skills, Experience and Requirements   A self-starter with sense of urgency and desire to succeed, who will take ownership of the business development function A track record of quantifiable achievements A desire and ability to exceed expectations Comfortable functioning as either a team leader or team member Confident and credible oral communication skills Superior written communication skills Unrelenting attention to detail and accuracy Well evolved win-win negotiation skills Solid comprehension of pharmaceutical industry, drug development process, with special emphasis on clinical development, FDA regulations, and ICH guidelines 30% to 50% travel, to visit pharmaceutical, biotechnology` and consumer company prospects and attend meetings Bachelor of Science plus five years of pharmaceutical or CRO experience required. An advanced degree and experience in dermatology are preferred  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
