JobTitle: Cytotechnologist
Location: SSF
Work Schedule-Tuesday to Saturday
Work Schedule – Part time, ~1-4PM, A few hours a day (e.g. 2-3 hours/day)
Duration: Through end of May or June

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing non-gynecologic specimens, including the accurate accessioning, cytopreparation and staining of all cytological specimens.


-Process vital diagnostic tests that improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
-Review slides for adequacy and process specimens and slides for referral labs to send out.  
-Maintaining specimen integrity and patient identification of all samples examined.
-Entering data into the laboratory information system and maintaining confidentiality of patient test results in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
-Demonstrate compliance with all corporate, safety, quality control and quality assurance standards along with all local, federal, CLIA and CAP regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- BA/BS, MA/MS in chemical, physical, biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution
- 0-2 years clinical laboratory experience as a CytoTechnologist
- A current California State CytoTechnologist license or if you have completed training but have not passed test yet

*Role is much less complex than a typical cytotech, only need help in prepping and reading slides for adequacy and not make a diagnosis.
