11.25ptNovartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) is looking for a contract recruiter who wants to be part of a high performing staffing team. This person will work on site at our research headquarters in Cambridge, MA for a 6 month assignment.   They will use their experience in Biopharma recruiting to identify, source, screen and select the top talent NIBR is looking for.   

Position requires prior staffing experience in a large, multi-site company. The ideal person will have a strong background in full cycle recruitment activities and experience with web-based staffing systems (e.g., Brassring, Webhire, etc.), internet posting technology and staffing processes. 

Responsibilities include creating staffing plans; conducting behavioral and competency-based interviews for a wide range of scientific  positions; and coaching hiring managers on interviewing and candidate assessment techniques.

You must have:
A demonstrated history of successful full cycle recruitment, preferably in the biotech/pharma space. 

11.25ptDemonstrated experience in understanding and measuring candidates against unique cultural expectations.

11.25ptDemonstrated ability to coach and train clients on a positive candidate experience.


Knowledge of and experience with direct sourcing methodologies.

Knowledge of staffing processes, web-based applicant tracking systems.
Knowledge of social media as recruiting tool (i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) is a big plus.
Position also entails managing candidate expectations and communications, and negotiating offers; and advising and making offer recommendations to clients. 
Prior experience with volume recruiting experience in a scientific research environment  (pharmaceutical/biotech industry).
BS degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years experience in volume recruitment of scientific employees in a Pharmaceutical / Biotech environment. Key competencies are; results driven, ability to work in a matrix environment, collaboration,  business acumen, communication skills, demonstrated project leadership skills.
