Description

This position is responsible for working as part of a team to develop and execute the U. S.  direct-to-consumer marketing plans and programs for the Inflammation business unit for Enbrel (etanercept).   The manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, management and analysis (including measurement and reporting) of a variety of offline and online consumer advertising and promotional programs.   These include digital (creative and media), CRM, database management, patient programs and cross-functional promotion. This position will not be responsible for management of direct reports.   However, it will require significant agency management, and cross-functional team leadership. Specific responsibilities will include (experience in these areas desirable):-   Be a key member of the extended cross-functional Enbrel brand team; partner with team members and lead cross-functional DTC project teams-   Establish DTC programs to meet brand objectives and stimulate appropriate consumer demand-   Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible consumer communications-   Partner with the Inflammation Consumer Agencies to develop strategies and deliver tactics and consumer media plans.   -   Work closely with and manage outside vendors and agencies to develop and execute DTC projects-   Work with Sales to support effective consumer program delivery-   Manage significant budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost effective delivery of all programs-   Work with market research to develop and execute research and measurement testing needed to develop programs and project and measure expected returns/success-   Doctorate degree & 2 years of  directly related experienceOR-   Master's degree & 6 years of directly related experienceOR-   Bachelor's degree or & 8 years of  directly related experienceOR-   Associate's degree & 10 years of  directly related experience OR-   High school diploma / GED & 12 years of  directly related experiencePreferred Qualifications:- MBA a plus.
- Minimum of three years experience of consumer or pharmaceutical marketing, with at least two years in DTC marketing.  Experience in digital or portfolio brand management helpful.  Agency experience will be considered- Strong grasp of marketing, consumer strategy, tactical plan development, marketing research, advertising, sales and promotion- A track record of successful brand building and promotional success, online advertising or patient support- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, show attention to detail and follow-through to completion- Considerable experience working with Advertising Agencies and developing digital or patient support promotion- Successful experience in partnering well internally and externally- Management of significant marketing/promotional budget
