The Compliance Manager aids in and oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as a member of an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization.  The position assists the Compliance Officer in ensuring the Board of Directors, management, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct.  The Corporate Compliance Department exists (i) as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution; and (ii) as a final internal resource with which concerned parties may communicate after other formal channels and resources have been exhausted.  The Compliance Manager assists the Compliance Officer in the discharge of the duties of the Compliance Officer including acting as staff to the CEO and Audit Committee by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance/ethics efforts of the company and in providing guidance to the Board and Executive Team on matters related to compliance.



Bachelor degree
Minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare company environment, with a minimum of three years in a compliance role within a healthcare organization.
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is strongly preferred.
Ideally, must have experience in clinical billing compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and implements programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and state health care compliance programs; fraud and abuse laws and HIPAA regulations.
Develops positive and proactive approach to health care compliance to ensure client satisfaction.
Assists in the development and execution of training programs to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Manages the Compliance Committee meetings schedule, communications and minutes.
Maintains compliance with federal and state Anti-kickback and Stark regulations.
Performs risk assessments and develops mitigation plans to address identified risks.
May perform monitoring and auditing activities as required.
Oversees compliance projects as necessary.
Coordinates audit follow-up and corrective action plans.
Monitors the Compliance Hotline and may be required to assist in internal investigations.
Performs a variety of tasks to assist the Compliance Officer to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
