Pediatric Psychosocial Division

0.5 FTE

Seeking qualified individual to coordinate research studies in the Division of Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology. 20 hr/ week position will include administering surveys and psychological inventories to patients and families as part of ongoing research studies, building and managing databases, performing library research, and developing and maintaining a catalogue of current literature and ongoing studies in pediatric psychosocial oncology. There will be some opportunity to participate in the analyses of results, including organizing finalized data and statistics, and assisting with manuscript preparation, as well as the opportunity to attend weekly clinical and administrative meetings.

Primary Responsibilities include: recruit and enroll participants to both adult and pediatric studies; conduct eligibility assessments; administer and track longitudinal follow-up surveys and conduct qualitative interviews; respond to patient and physician requests for information; perform chart review studies; maintain all applicable Microsoft Excel and REDCap databases; participate in group projects with clinical and research staff. Clinical Research Coordinator/Research assistant will assist with Institutional Review Board protocol documentation (submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, study audits), maintain procedures manual for research studies, and assist in the coordination between principal investigator, clinicians, and regulatory groups (DFCI-OHRS) to ensure the accuracy of research protocols.


Bachelor's degree in health or related field required. Experience in applied research setting, including direct experience with human subjects, and pediatric populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and comfort working with medical patients. Discretion and solid judgment in handling sensitive patient information. Experience with database management and analysis in Excel, SPSS, and REDcap is desirable.
