Job Description

A South San Francisco-based small biotechnology company has an immediate opening for a Research Scientist. This position requires a M.S. or B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field from an accredited university and 5 years industry experience.

Job Description:  

Manager of analytical laboratory that supports Transdermal Drug Delivery (TDD) and Material Sciences groups.  Tasks include method development for analysis of biological matrices, QA/QC of processed materials and stability testing of formulated product.  This position will manage others and maintain ES&H and hazardous materials compliance for the laboratory.


MS or BS in chemistry, biochemistry or related field.

Required skills:

•   At least 5 years experience and proficiency with analytical techniques (e.g.
       HPLC, LC/MS, UV/VIS). QC/QA experience is a plus.
•   Proficient in Apple and PC platforms, LIMS, Excel and database management.
•   Instrument maintenance

Additional requirements:

Candidate must have meticulous organizational skills; excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
