Job Description


Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager and actively supported by the Executive Director of Marketing, the primary responsibility of this role is developing, driving and implementing strategic channel marketing activities for NEB’s domestic selling channels which includes freezer program, e-business platforms and 3rd party distributors. The goal is to promote the growth of the channels through coordinated customer and market communications, ensuring the customer experience of the channel is always “best-in-class”.

Primary Responsibilities:

•   Work in collaboration with the Sales Operations Manager to develop and implement the overall strategic direction of NEB’s domestic selling channels to ensure both a “best-in-class” customer experience and year-on-year revenue growth.
•   Oversee all Freezer Program operations, including new placement opportunities. Coordinate all policies, contracts and RFPs associated with the program.
•   Direct responsibility for researching, recommending and guiding the development of NEB’s domestic channel capabilities and functionalities, included the NEBnow freezer hardware and software, and e-commerce capabilities beyond neb.com.
•   Work with the NEB field staff to prioritize and manage new NEBnow freezer installations and launches.
•   Work with various groups within Marketing to develop and deploy channel-specific customer and marketing communications, including the development and maintenance of the “NEBnow” brand.
•   Monitor competitor channel marketing activity; specifically freezer programs and e-commerce, and develop strategies and tactics to counter them.
•   Utilize analytics to develop, monitor, and adjust customer channel specific promotions and merchandizing opportunities with support from the relevant domestic field staff to meet and exceed account-specific sales targets.
•   Work with the field staff and Marketing Communications to promote new third party e-commerce integrations.
•   Coordinate periodic training of NEB staff regarding channel marketing strategies and capabilities.

Requirements


•   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Management; masters preferred.
•   Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or related commercial position with channel management experience.
•   Experience building and implementing strong business and marketing plans, preferably with a significant channel component.
•   Enhanced tactical marketing, merchandizing and channel management experience.
•   Knowledge of life science freezer programs and/or supply centers, as well as their associated business models and practices, a significant plus.
•   Knowledge and experience of B2B e-commerce systems.
•   Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce.com experience a plus.
•   Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
•   Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•   A strong work ethic, emphasizing both efficiency and quality of work.
•   The ability to work independently, be self-directed and multi-task, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and manage a cross-functional team.
•   Analytical data mining skills.
•   Scientific background a plus, but not essential.
•   Ability to travel domestically (up to 25% of time).
