Description

MyoKardia Inc., located in South San Francisco, is seeking a cell biology research associate to assist with large-scale protein production within the Biology group.

Responsibilities include the production and purification of adeno and lenti virus for use in the production of human proteins in mammalian expression systems.  The successful candidate will also be involved in the expression of human proteins in mammalian cells.  Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed records, performing QC analysis, assessment of titer of all produced viruses, and cell banking.  The successful candidate must be organized, detail oriented with excellent cell culture technique.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a BS in life sciences with at least 4+ years of relevant experience in protein expression and viral production.  The candidate will work as part of a team to support the recombinant production of proteins in the milligram to gram quantities for ongoing research support.  The candidate will have demonstrated independent thought/creativity in science.  Excellent collaboration, organizational, communication (oral and written), multitasking skills, and must be detailed oriented.
