PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:
Primary function is to develop software for automated diagnostic systems. Participate in a team-oriented environment to define and develop user interface, business rules, data management, and system control applications. The job function includes providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance for other team members. Requires the ability to estimate, plan and review their work as well as work products of other team members. Will coordinate integration and testing.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Software development responsibilities include providing technical leadership, defining software architecture concepts, defining and executing software development life cycle activities (from Systems requirements, software architecture, software requirements, design and implementation through design verification and validation) using current software technologies.
Advanced fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities. Able to apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques as required.
ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
This is a very experienced engineering position that provides technical expertise and leadership for team members. Activities will be under the guidance of a peer engineer or manager. Accountable for providing technical solutions, meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance. Must have skills to plan and schedule own and other’s work activities, coordinate activities with other external groups and review other’s work.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in technical or scientific discipline.
7 years experience in a software development role
Technology and tools experience (e.g. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Visual C++, or .NET technology, SQL database technology) dependent on project.
Experience with localizing software applications for specific target markets, embedded application development, designing software architectures, and defining software interfaces.
