JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will work with access marketing, sales leadership, and managed markets & trade teams to support analytical needs and generate market insights across Depomed’s portfolio of brands.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis of physician and payer level data at the subnational level to uncover trends and provide actionable insights to drive revenue
•Provide subnational analytics to support pull-through initiatives for Depomed's product portfolio
•Provide Copay & voucher program analytics and reporting for field and HQ personnel
•Support the operationalization of field facing access tools to optimize HCP targeting and messaging at the territory level
•Maintain the distribution of standard reports & dashboards on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis
•Work with data providers, pharmacy partners and other vendors to investigate data reporting issues
•Monitor and analyze sales results, proactively report findings and conduct analyses as needed to support the field sales organization
•Report and track progress on subnational key performance indicators such as access program effectiveness and utilization
•Ensure that all deliverables pass appropriate quality control procedures to ensure deliverable accuracy
•Support commercial operations training workshops for field sales forces

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 3+ years of relevant industry headquarters experience in sales/marketing analysis, statistical analysis, data quality control and advanced reporting, strongly preferred
• Strong track record of performance within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

• Independent worker, self-learner, and can quickly assimilate new information
• Requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to analyze and QC data from multiple sources and communicate findings in a clear and organized manner
• Strong ability to interface with senior management and field based employees
• High level resourcefulness and problem solving skills under pressure are critical to this role
• Prefer candidates that have a strong working knowledge or aptitude to quickly learn relevant software systems (e.g., Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, SQL, etc.)
