Responsibilities:

•   Research related to special biomarkers – Scientist may develop and characterize biomarker assays or disease models to support clinical drug development. Scientist may also evaluate new technologies that relate to biomarker development.
•   Communication and information management – Scientist will maintain notebooks, prepare and present data and use computer software such as Sigma Plot, JMP or other data visualization tools to organize, analyze and summarize data.
•   Technical writing skills – Scientist is required to author project plans, reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other documentation. The scientist will also present data to various groups and contribute to reports, regulatory documents, manuscripts, posters, etc.
•   Technical process application and improvement – Scientist will develop and utilize expertise and knowledge of instrument operation and theory.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s degree in a core science
•   Broad scientific skill using multiple Biochemistry based platforms ( Ex: PCR, Western Blot, ELISA)
•   Capable of working with tissue samples and/or IHC.
•   Able to use Experimental design and scientific approach to problem solving; (method development, optimization and validation etc).
•   Note: Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position


Additional Skills/Preferences:

•   Project Management skills
•   Experience in Histology or Immunohistochemistry preferred.
