The antibody discovery group at the Lilly Biotechnology Center in San Diego is seeking a senior-level associate (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with experience in flow cytometry and assay development for antibody discovery. The focus of the work will be to optimize existing procedures and validate new technologies for incorporation into Lilly’s antibody discovery process. This opportunity will allow you to play a key role in Lilly's antibody discovery platform. You will apply your knowledge and experience of cytometry based applications to enhance our antibody discovery efforts. You will be an independent thinker/researcher with the opportunity to grow in your career by sharing your deep expertise in antibody discovery and assay development.•Your prior hands-on experience with flow cytometry applications including multi-color cell staining and multiplexed bead-based assays will be key to understanding antibody panel design and optimization. Prior experience with mass cytometry (CyTOF) is desirable.
•Familiarity with a broad range of biochemical and cell biology assay techniques in order to characterize antibody binding and function and prior experience in intracellular signaling analysis by flow cytometry is desirable.
•You will use your understanding of experimental design and data analysis of complex, multi-parameter datasets to develop and document standard operating procedures. Excellent work planning and record-keeping is essential.
•Excellent proficiency with FlowJo software is a must. You will also have the opportunity to gain proficiency in SPADE and/or viSNE analysis.
•You will work independently at the bench.
•You will interact and collaborate with colleagues in antibody discovery, protein engineering and the Immunology therapeutic area.
Basic Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline
•At least 7 years laboratory experience in flow cytometry and assay development preferred

Additional Skills/Preferences •Experience in immune cell isolation and multicolor flow cytometry. Proficiency in cytometry data analysis software.
•Familiarity with high content data analysis.
•Experience with cell-based functional assays.
