Job Description

Jounce Therapeutics is seeking an experienced scientist to contribute to the development of novel therapeutics in the field of cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting multiple aspects of preclinical and clinical development of biomarker assays and applying histologic techniques and image analysis to better understand the tumor micro-environment. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, s/he will be expected to proactively interact with project teams and external collaborators to provide insights and hands-on support to advance programs forward.

•   Manage and execute the acquisition and analysis of clinical and preclinical samples from internal and external research groups.
•   Manage and guide the development of SOPs; review and QC external vendor validation reports; provide input on SAP; assist authoring of data transfer agreements and clinical study reports.
•   Serve as a subject matter expert and provide hands-on support in histology, immunohistochemistry, RNA in situ hybridization and other tissue-based assays development to project teams
•   Work on improvement processes within the pathology group, such as enhancement of existing quantitative image analysis capabilities; multiplexed imaging workflow; training and developments of other scientists in the pathology group.
Selective exploration of novel multiplex imaging modalities that have the potential to advance programs forward.

Requirements

-   MS or BS degree in a Life Sciences field; 3+ years for MS or 5+ years for BS of experience in clinical pathology and biomarkers
-   Experience in histologic biomarker techniques and imaging analysis is required.
-   Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and excel in cross-functional, collaborative and fast-paced settings.
-   Experience in immuno-oncology, biologics, molecular biology and cell biology preferred
-   Project management experience interfacing with discovery, clinical development and operational teams preferred.
