Associate Scientist I/II (Analytical Sciences)
MacroGenics, Inc., a growing biotechnology company, has an opening for an Associate Scientist I/II (Analytical Sciences) in its Rockville facility. Responsibilities include: designing and conducting experiments to develop analytical release and characterization methods for biopharmaceutical products; executing analytical methods (HPLC, CE, PAGE) to evaluate product characteristics; designing and conducting experiments, including forced degradation studies, to characterize analytical methods; executing comparability studies to support clinical use; authoring analytical sections of IND/BLA as well as technical documentation and procedures; presenting study conclusions at routine scientific meetings; and operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation (e.g. HPLC, CE, Spectrophotometer).
Applicants must meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or life sciences; minimum of eight (8) years of industrial experience analyzing biological molecules; experience with late stage development strongly preferred; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint desirable; and ability to complete tasks in a team environment.
