Seeking an individual with experience in cell line development and molecular biology to join our Biologics Cell Line Development group.  Reporting to the head of Cell Line Development Group, the successful candidate will focus on the development of high producing mammalian cell lines for the production of recombinant therapeutic proteins for clinical development, including monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, antibody drug conjugates and bi-specific antibodies.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.Performing key activities associated with production cell line development and optimization including transfection, selection, single cell cloning, high throughput screening, characterization  of clonal cell lines using scale-down models, and cell banking

2.Developing and optimizing new protein expression platforms by evaluating various gene constructs and expression systems

3.Developing and performing immunoassays such as Octet,  ELISA, Western blots, and FACS analysis

4.Developing high throughput screening methods and evaluating new technologies to support cell line screening

5.Working closely with upstream process development and purification teams to support regular development projects and activities

6.Managing lab equipment set up, maintenance, and lab supplies

7.Establishing  cell line development SOPs

8.Writing technical reports and presenting data in project team meetings




MS in  biochemical/chemical engineering, biological sciences or relevant discipline and over 2 years of industrial cell line or cell culture process development experience, or BS with over 4 years experience

Skills/Knowledge Required:

•    Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture,  transfection,  and stable line selection

•    Hands-on experience with vector construction and routine DNA cloning

•    Experience with high throughput screening assays such as Octet,ELISA, and FACS analysis  

•    Proficient in data analysis and common computer applications

•    The candidate must be well organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills  

•    Demonstrate ability work well in a collaborative team-oriented  environment  

•    Be able to work independently and in a fast paced environment to meet project timelines
