As an Associate Director, Hematology Marketing in Gaithersburg you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. GMD (Global Medicines Development) drives late-stage development of our innovative pipeline, transforming exciting science into valued new medicines and ensuring patients around the world can access them.
AstraZeneca’s vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and haematological cancers. As well as other tumour types, these are being targeted through four key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalised healthcare and biomarker technologies.
The Associate Director of Marketing will play a key role in developing and executing the overarching brand strategy and launch plan for acalabrutinib, the BTK-inhibitor under development by Acerta Pharma for the treatment of multiple blood cancers. This position will work closely with a broad array of US and Global stakeholders to prepare for the initial launch and will lead the development of the promotional platform and marketing mix directed at HCPs, patients, and payers.
This position will report directly into the Senior Director of Marketing for the US Hematology business and will work closely with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders as well as with GPPS.
As the Associate Director, Hematology Marketing you will play a key role in developing and executing the acalabrutinib launch plan, and ensure alignment across all key stakeholders, including medical, GPPS, MAPS, Insights and Sales Training. Partner with Global Marketing to develop compelling brand positioning and messaging while working across AZ to develop an innovative marketing mix and customer engagement model. Partner with MAPS to develop a compelling value story, access strategy, and patient support plan
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 5-7+ years of pharmaceutical experience in US or global marketing
- 2 + years Oncology Brand Management experience
- MBA in relevant field
- Hematology experience
- 2+ years US marketing experience
- Recent launch experience
- Prior management consulting experience and/or strategy role
- Exhibit high capability of working collaboratively, thinking strategically
- Experience in or working closely with Insights/Market Research/Managed Markets
