To achieve our goals for continued growth, the new position of Associate Director, Forecasting and Market Analytics was created within the New Products Planning team. This unique position offers an ambitious and experienced candidate the opportunity to fully create and develop this critical function. Essential Areas of Responsibility: Develop and maintain long range forecasting models for pipeline products to support commercial, drug development, financial and manufacturing plans Manage relationships with key vendors to ensure on-time delivery, accuracy of relevant information Stay abreast of novel forecasting methodologies and processes Develop and maintain internal secondary databases for specific therapeutic areas Publish monthly dashboards and analytical reports for pipeline and approved drugs; proactively monitor all relevant aspe
cts of current and potential competitors of Alkermes products Develop and implement roadmap to ensure functional needs are identified and addressed Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: For consideration at the Associate Director level, we require the following: A minimum of 8+ years of directly related experience in product/market forecasting combined with marketing research, financial planning, or other analytical functions Bachelors degree in business/science, Masters degree in an analytic field, MPH or MBA preferred Forecasting experience with newly launched products (pharmaceutical or health care preferred) For consideration at the Director level, we require the following: A minimum of 12+ years of directly related experience in product/market forecasting combined with marketing research, financial planning, or other analytical functions Bachelors degree in business/science, Masters degree in a
n analytic field, MPH or MBA strongly preferred Significant forecasting experience with newly launched products (pharmaceutical or health care preferred) In addition, the position also requires: Ability to develop patient-based models, using the latest tools and methodologies Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in gathering, interpreting and analyzing data Ability to present findings and make recommendations to Alkermes management including commercial and development teams (brand, market growth, inventory dynamics, patient incidence, prevalence, diagnosis, treatment trends, competition and payer environment ) Ability to anticipate challenges and defend positions with factual information Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate problems Ability to work across multiple functions (sales, finance, product development, business development, supply chain, investor relations) Experience with forecasting techniques and software tools Significant knowledge and experience using primary and secondary data Ability to learn and work autonomously Ability and vision to create and develop forecasting and analytics function Travel Expectations: Overnight travel ~10-15% Alkermes, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant because of race, creed, color, age, national origin, ancestry, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, genetic information, veteran status, military status, application for military service or any other class protected by state or federal law.
