Job Description

Dermira is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to identifying, developing and commercializing innovative, differentiated therapies to improve the lives of patients with dermatologic diseases. The Associate Director/Director, Scientific Communications, Psoriasis will lead and manage the execution of the Psoriasis scientific communication strategies and plans.   This position reports to the Director, Medical Affairs.

Key responsibilities
•   Develop the psoriasis scientific communication platform in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and ensure its alignment with strategic imperatives
•   Lead the creation of field medical team resources in collaboration with product team members and field medical teams
•   Develop the psoriasis program annual congress plan and lead the execution of the plan, including the development of scientific booths and meeting symposia
•   Collaborate with the Director, Training & Operations for training material development
•   Develop and execute the psoriasis scientific advisory board plan, including the definition of strategic objectives, content development and meeting preparation
•   Provide scientific content expertise on psoriasis program marketing campaign, message platform development and commercial tools and programs
•   Evaluate promotional and non-promotional material for scientific accuracy and alignment with scientific communications platform in the medical review and promotional review committees
•   Serve as medical affairs psoriasis lead in product and launch teams
•   Lead the joint medical affairs teams with current and possible future partner companies
•   Manage medical communications agencies, as needed
•   Other responsibilities within medical affairs may be assigned

Requirements

•   Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred
•   6+ years of related work experience in biopharmaceutical industry highly preferred
•   Experience and knowledge in inflammation / psoriasis preferred
•   Ability to navigate multiple projects across different product lifecycles
•   Excellent planning and organizational skills
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•   Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities
•   Ability to work in fast-paced environment while working collaboratively on multiple projects
