Scientist to participate in the design, production and characterization of RNA therapeutics targeted for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. She/he will conduct and interpret a diverse array of molecular biology, biophysical, biochemical and cell-based studies to produce, screen, and evaluate therapeutic nucleic acids, including the quantification and optimization of their sequence, biophysical properties, cellular activity, in vivo efficacy, and immunogenicity.
BS or MS degree in biophysics, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or biomedical engineering with 3 years of experience in molecular biology of nucleic acids, tissue culture, biophysical and cell-based assays, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry; experience in cardiovascular and metabolic disease is desirable; broad scientific foundation, strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication, and ability to function in an interdisciplinary team setting are essential.
