PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:


Key role to drive long-term success for Abbott Nutrition Therapeutic Nutrition’s Post-Acute team, which is tasked with driving sales through the strategically important Home Medical Equipment channel and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in  Oncology, Home Health, and Managed Care.  Responsible for managing and implementing short and long term business tactics and strategies to effectively support commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives for assigned customer segments and product portfolio.  Additional responsibilities include strategy development, marketing/business plan development, development and communication of brand promotional programs to Field Sales, financial management/analysis, forecasting, project management and AP&G (Advertising, Promotions & Gratis) budget administration.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


·        Design and execute marketing programs to support designated customer segment(s)


·        Develop and execute marketing programs, including publication and promotional activities to effectively communicate strategic positioning to target customers.  Execute tactics such as print and online media, webinars, speaker bureaus, and advisory boards.


·        Manage the development of sales collateral for Field Sales to effectively promote and sell the nutrition/product portfolio message. Manage promotional materials to maintain and promote branding and messaging.


·        Manage marketing budget to maximize ROI.


·        Analyze and report financial performance including sales revenue and profit margin.


·        Present marketing programs and tactical plans to sales teams and senior management.


·        Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern and modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.


·        Continually monitor environmental trends that could impact Abbott strategy.


·        Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups include external customers and consumers, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Affairs, Marketing and Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.

Requirements

Skills/Experience Requirements• Must possess a BS/BA degree


·        1-3 years of progressively responsible product management experience in either health care professional marketing; or consumer packaged goods marketing; or a combination of the two.


·        Demonstrated leadership and success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.


·        Strong analytical skills including experience with financial models, business and financial management.


·        Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.


·        Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.


Additional Considerations


·        Proven success building share/sales on a business that leverages similar downstream (healthcare professional) business model preferred


·        MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position.


·        Percent of Travel ~20 %
